Refund and Return Policy
At BG Film Lab, we take great care in handling every roll of film we receive. Film is a delicate medium, and while issues are rare, it's important to clearly outline how we handle them.
All Sales Are Final
Due to the nature of film processing, all orders are considered final once processing has begun. We do not offer refunds for completed services.
Our Processing Guarantee
We stand behind our process, and behind you. If a roll of film is returned completely blank (meaning no visible images are produced across the entire roll), we will issue store credit equal tot he cost of processing that roll. This credit can be used toward processing another roll with us. This guarantee applies regardless of the cause of the blank roll, but is limited to rolls that contain absolutely no visible images whatsoever.
Damaged or Lost Film
If your film is damaged or lost while in our care due to an error on our end, we will issue a refund in the form of store credit equal to the cost of the affected service. This credit can be used towards future processing with BG Film Lab.
Limitation of Liability
By sending film to BG Film Lab, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Film is a physical medium that can be affected by factors outside of our control, including prior exposure, storage conditions, age, and handling before it reaches us
- We are not responsible for issues related to underexposure, overexposure, light leaks, expired film, or any pre-existing damage.
- We do not guarantee image quality, exposure accuracy, or artistic outcome.
Our liability is limited strictly to the cost of the processing service provided.
Shipping Responsibility
Customers are responsible for shipping film to our lab. We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
Claims
If you believe there was an issue with your order due to an error on our end, you must contact us within 7 days of receiving your scans or negatives. We reserve the right to review and verify all claims before issuing any credit.
Policy Abuse
BG Film Lab reserves the right to refuse service or deny claims if we determine, at our sole discretion, that this policy is being misused or abused.
