These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of services provided by BG Film Lab LLC (“BG Film Lab,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By placing an order or sending film to us, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
BG Film Lab provides film development and scanning services for 35mm and 120 film formats. Additional products, including film stock sales, may be offered in the future.
2. Order Acceptance
Orders are considered accepted only when your film is received and entered into our system. Placing an order online does not guarantee acceptance of service.
We reserve the right to refuse service at our sole discretion.
3. Turnaround Time
We guarantee a turnaround time of five (5) business days from the date your film is received and logged into our system.

Turnaround time does not include shipping time
4. Payment
All orders must be placed and paid in full online prior to processing. We do not begin processing until payment has been received.
5. Film Handling & Risk
Film is a physical medium and may be subject to damage or loss despite reasonable care.
By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that:

Film may be affected by exposure, storage conditions, age, and handling prior to arrival

BG Film Lab is not responsible for underexposure, overexposure, light leaks, expired film, or pre-existing damage

We do not guarantee image quality or artistic outcome
6. Blank Roll Guarantee
If a roll of film is returned completely blank, meaning no visible images are produced across the entire roll, BG Film Lab will issue store credit equal to the cost of processing that roll.
This guarantee applies only to rolls with no visible images whatsoever and is subject to verification by BG Film Lab.
7. Damaged or Lost Film
If your film is damaged or lost due to an error on our end, our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided for that roll.
8. Limitation of Liability
You acknowledge that film may contain irreplaceable images.
BG Film Lab is not responsible for the sentimental, artistic, or monetary value of any content on submitted film.
Our total liability for any claim is limited strictly to the amount paid for the services rendered.
9. Shipping
Customers are responsible for shipping film to BG Film Lab.

We are not responsible for packages lost or damaged in transit to our facility

We recommend using a trackable shipping method
Return shipping of negatives is optional and available for an additional fee selected at checkout.
BG Film Lab does not insure outgoing shipments and is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.
10. Digital Delivery & Storage
Scans are delivered via an email link.

Customers have thirty (30) days from delivery to download their files

After 30 days, files may be permanently deleted
BG Film Lab is not responsible for maintaining long-term storage of digital files.
11. Negative Retention
Customers are given the option to receive their negatives back during checkout for a small additional fee. If selected, negatives will be sent back to the address used when completing the checkout process.
If the customer declines this service, negatives from that order will be discarded shortly after scan delivery.
12. Chargebacks & Fraud
By placing an order, you agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes without first contacting us to resolve the issue.
We reserve the right to dispute any chargeback and provide evidence of services rendered.
Accounts associated with fraudulent activity or abuse may be restricted or permanently banned.
13. Prohibited Use
You agree not to submit any film that contains illegal content.
BG Film Lab reserves the right to refuse service and report unlawful material to the appropriate authorities.
14. Right to Refuse Service
BG Film Lab reserves the right to refuse service to any customer or order at our sole discretion.
15. Intellectual Property
Customers retain ownership of their images.
By using our services, you grant BG Film Lab permission to use scanned images for marketing and promotional purposes, unless otherwise requested in writing prior to processing.
16. Store Credit
Store credit issued by BG Film Lab:

Is non-transferable

Cannot be redeemed for cash

Expires one (1) year from the date of issuance
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
18. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
