Photo Scanning & Digitization

Turn your printed photos into high-quality digital files with BG Film Lab’s Photo Scanning & Digitization service. We scan your physical prints, create digital copies for easy storage and backup, and return the original photos to you once the order is complete.

Pricing

Pricing is based on the total number of photos included in your order:

• 50–249 photos: $0.40 per photo (Standard Scan) / $0.45 per photo (Enhanced Scan)
• 250–499 photos: $0.35 per photo (Standard Scan) / $0.40 per photo (Enhanced Scan)
• 500–999 photos: $0.30 per photo (Standard Scan) / $0.34 per photo (Enhanced Scan)
• 1,000+ photos: $0.25 per photo (Standard Scan) / $0.29 per photo (Enhanced Scan)

There is a minimum order quantity of 50 photos per order.

Don't worry about getting an exact count, you can make a good-faith estimate and we will confirm the exact count when we scan. Once we have an official count, we can make adjustments as needed (refund for overestimations or collect balance for underestimations).

Photo Requirements

To ensure safe and consistent scanning, all photos must be:

• Loose and removed from photo albums, scrapbooks, sleeves, or frames
• In reasonably good physical condition
• Free from significant tears, rips, peeling, adhesive residue, or other damage that could interfere with scanning
• Separate individual prints rather than mounted or attached to other materials

We are currently unable to accept photos that are still inside albums or scrapbooks.

Getting Your Photos To Us

You can get your photos to BG Film Lab in one of two ways:

Mail-In: Package up your photos securely and ship them to:

At Home Pickup & Return (+$40): Customers in the Bowling Green area can choose our at-home pickup and return service for qualifying orders. We'll arrange a time to collect your photos from your home (or another agreed-upon location), then hand-deliver the originals back to you once scanning is complete.

This option is designed for customers who would prefer to not send irreplaceable photos through the mail. Your photos stay in our direct care throughout the process, from pickup through scanning and return.

Digital Delivery

Your scanned photos will be delivered digitally in JPEG format to the email address used at checkout. The delivery email will include a link where you can download your scans directly to your device for storage and backup. 

Your download link will remain active for 30 days from the date of delivery, so we recommend downloading and saving your files before the link expires.

Returning Your Original Photos

Your original printed photos will be carefully packaged and returned to you via USPS after scanning is complete (unless At-Home Pickup & Return is selected - see above). Photos will be shipped to the shipping address entered during checkout, so please make sure your shipping information is accurate before placing your order.
