Kodak UltraMax 400 is a great all-around 35mm color negative film for everyday shooting. With its 400 ISO speed, it has enough flexibility to handle a mix of lighting situations while still giving you that classic Kodak look with warm color, easy contrast, and a familiar film feel.

This is a good film to keep in your camera for family photos, travel, casual portraits, weekend plans, and general point-and-shoot use. We especially like Kodak UltraMax 400 when you want something flexible that can handle bright outdoor scenes but still give you a little more room when the light starts to change.

Why Buy Film From BG Film Lab?

Purchasing film from BG Film Lab offers two main advantages over purchasing through a traditional retailer, and sets you up for easier developing when the roll is finished.

First, every film purchase comes with a 20% off developing coupon, helping you save on the full film process, from buying the roll to getting your finished scans back.

Second, you can also add a prepaid return mailer to make sending your film back easier and cheaper. When you rolls are finished, simply place your developing order online, include your order number with the film, then drop the rolls in the mailer and put it in your mailbox. There's no need to go to the post office with these mailers!

One mailer usually holds 3-5 rolls of 35mm film, so you do not need one for every roll. Our prepaid mailers typically save you 15% or more when compared to buying postage at the post office (you also don't even have to go which is nice).

We also cold-store our film inventory to help preserve the quality and shelf life of each roll. Keeping film cool helps slow natural degradation over time, which can lead to better, more consistent results when you shoot it. We recommend storing your film in the fridge once it arrives too (just let it warm back up to room temperature before loading it into your camera).
